Thank you for visiting. I'm Billardcurator, an art collector with a passion for photography and contemporary visual culture. Raised in the Midwest, I spent my early career in the music industry, touring internationally with the Violent Femmes. This experience provided unique exposure to global creative communities, including performances at the North Pole and major festivals.
These experiences shaped my artistic perspective, leading me to pursue an MFA and develop a deep appreciation for visual storytelling. My work explores themes of time, presence, and human connection through photography.

My MFA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison included a powerful thesis project—documenting a man's journey through cystic fibrosis while awaiting a lung transplant. This experience, along with my practice of Zazen meditation, deeply influences my approach to art, emphasizing presence, intention, and the beauty of restraint in both creation and collection.
As an educator, I've taught photography worldwide, from university classrooms to international workshops. This nomadic life allows me to engage with diverse artistic communities while maintaining a collection that reflects my commitment to thoughtful, intentional art.
